Position Summary
Manages the overall corporate wide support, maintenance, administration and operation of Telephony Systems and Services by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties
Oversees corporate wide support, maintenance, administration and operation of Telephony Systems and Services.
Has ability to design, specify, vend, and support Wide Area Network (WAN) Systems and Services.
Has the ability to perform System Administration functions on Telephony Systems, configuration management on WAN equipment and liaison with Voice or Data Service providers.  
Has the ability to perform Automatic Call Distribution (ACD), Voicemail / Call Processing / Auto-Attendant application design and cable plant management/design.
Has the ability to audit phone services bills, negotiate rate plans and forge value-added vendor relationships.
Provides support for LAN infrastructure, Windows server, and Linux based systems.
Supports tape backup libraries and data recovery operations.

Position Responsibilities
Manages three phone systems and indirectly offsite employees in Telecommunications support.   Is responsible for the overall application design, system operation and maintenance support of these units. May also directly supervises non-supervisory employees.  Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; and planning work plus addressing complaints and resolving problems from system users.

Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in IT or equivalent experience 
 
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Solid organizational and prioritizing skills
  • Capable of working with limited supervision, and leading other team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills, including technical documentation
  • Team player, customer service driven
  • Ability to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical users
